Karn Gupta, MD, FASN, FASDIN
Dr. Gupta is the Medical Director and founder of Carolina Vascular Care. He is a Board-Certified Interventional Nephrologist with a special focus in Vascular & Interventional Nephrology. He has a passion for caring for patients with End Stage Renal Disease and has dedicated his career to the vascular access care of dialysis patients. Prior to establishing Carolina Vascular Care, he had been providing vascular access care for 11 years in the Raleigh area. Dr. Gupta specializes in all aspects of Hemodialysis Vascular Access – from minimally invasive AVF creation to complex vascular access maintenance procedures. Dr. Gupta has been part of numerous ground-breaking clinical trials which have led to improved care of dialysis patients. He is actively involved in the American Society of Diagnostic and Interventional Nephrology.
Dr. Gupta completed his Internal Medicine residency at the Cleveland Clinic Health system, followed by a Clinical Nephrology fellowship at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine. He also completed a dedicated fellowship in Interventional Nephrology at the University of Wisconsin. He is certified by the American Society of Diagnostic and Interventional Nephrology.
